Master’s Degree Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements to apply as a master’s degree student are as follows:
General Requirements
- BS or BA with a strong science foundation and a minimum of five full semesters of courses related to biology, biological sciences, chemistry and/or physics
- A 3.0 upper-division GPA (use this form to calculate your upper-division GPA)
- Official transcripts from every college or university attended
- A resume/CV*
- $30 application fee
Program-Specific Requirements:
- Anatomical sciences education: three letters of reference and a statement of purpose.
*Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.
Graduate Certificate Admission Requirements

International students are welcome to apply to UF’s online graduate program as master’s degree, graduate certificate or non-degree seeking students. In addition to the general admission requirements, international applicants must meet the following requirements:
English Language Requirements
If the student’s native language is not English, or they graduated with a bachelor’s degree from a non-English speaking country, students must submit their Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or other Graduate Council–approved English language skills test scores.
All test scores must be sent through Educational Testing Service (ETS) directly to UF Office of Admission at code 5182. Self-reported scores, unsealed copies of score reports and photocopies of score reports cannot be accepted.

Submitting Transcript/Mark Sheet and Diploma/Degree Certificate
International applicants must submit an official, original document in the native language of each transcript/mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate from each university or college attended. If the native language for the documents is not English, certified, literal (exact) English translations are required. The English translation may come from the original university or may be completed by a certified translator.
Transcript/mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate with English translations (if required) should be assembled by students and sent to the address below in one package. You must also include this checklist, filled out, in the package that you send containing your documents.
