About the Program
The online Graduate Certificates in Medical Physiology and Medical Physiology with a specialization in Cardiovascular/Renal Physiology and the online master’s degree in medical physiology and pharmacology* and master’s degree in medical physiology and aging** are tailored for medical professionals and students. The master’s degree in medical physiology and pharmacology is offered jointly by the Departments of Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Medical Physiology and Functional Genomics.
The courses are asynchronous, so students can complete coursework at their convenience. Our programs accept students year-round, and the GRE is not required for admission.

Master’s Degree Program Requirements
In order to enroll in the master’s degree in medical physiology and pharmacology program or the master’s degree in medical physiology and aging program, students must have:
- A bachelor’s degree with at least five full-semester courses related to biology, chemistry and/or physics
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0

The knowledge you’ll gain in our online medical physiology graduate certificate programs, medical physiology and pharmacology master’s degree program and medical physiology and aging master’s degree program can prepare you for the academic demands of higher-level studies, including medical school, nursing school, physician assistant school, advanced degree programs in public health and Ph.D. programs. Our master’s degree in medical physiology and pharmacology program provides students with a unique dual curriculum that incorporates two different UF departments: Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Physiology and Functional Genomics.
